Jazz saxophonist Branford Marsalis' no-nonsense approach to life, and his craft, has served him well in a musical career that has spanned nearly 40 years. Some might call him brash; others, cocky, but critics should know his feathers never ruffle. "I don't let what others think get under my skin," Marsalis told an interviewer recently. "My focus is on my craft." His craft will be on full display when he and his quartet featuring Joey Calderazzo, Eric Revis and Justin Faulkner perform at Playhouse Square's Ohio Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, as part of the Tri-C Performing Arts Series. Marsalis will also lead a master class at 10 a.m. Thursday inside the Fran and Jules Belkin Theatre, 2809 Woodland Ave., Cleveland, Ohio.
