Chris Standring announced via his newsletter his upcoming “big show” November 13th at Yoshi's in Oakland, California. “It's one of my favourite places to play,” he wrote. “I'd love to see you if you can make it. Gigs are also coming in for 2020.”
Live shows upcoming: November 13th at Yoshi's in Oakland California. December 4th at Vitello's in Studio City, California. This is a Christmas show with Kathrin Shorr.
“Big exciting news… I'm knee deep mixing my new studio album,“ he continued. “All the recording is finished and I'm looking at a bright light at the end of a long tunnel. The album has turned out so great, including some of the world's greatest musicians and a song featuring the most amazing singer, Vanessa Haynes (who you may know from the band Incognito).
“The album is to be called Real Life. Why? I hear you ask. Well, perhaps it's the stage of life I am at right now, with my parents health dwindling and the realization that life is temporary and not to be taken for granted. It's a wake up call. I hope this explanation doesn't sound too dark because the album is anything but. In fact it is full of joy and positivity, because that is also real life. It also speaks to authenticity. I think with every album I write, I seem to hone my own personal style more and more and this album is definitely all me.
“I am gearing up for a March release 2020. A single will go to radio in January and we are off to the races again. I'm super proud of this one, I hope you will love it too!”
